Overview
TCB Industrial is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to oversee hydroelectric and powerhouse rehabilitation projects across California. The Construction Manager will coordinate field operations, staffing, safety, and logistics for multiple projects while ensuring work is executed to TCB’s safety, quality, and schedule standards. This role requires deep mechanical and hydropower field experience and the ability to manage multiple crews in high-risk environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily field operations across multiple hydro and powerhouse projects.
• Coordinate manpower, equipment, and scheduling between sites.
• Supervise superintendents, foremen, and subcontractors to ensure efficient work execution.
• Enforce TCB’s safety, environmental, and quality programs in full compliance with client and regulatory requirements.
• Review and approve lift plans, rigging plans, and heavy mechanical procedures.
• Support pre-construction planning, estimating input, and project mobilization.
• Monitor project progress, productivity, and cost performance, and report regularly to management.
• Conduct site visits and client meetings to address field challenges and coordinate upcoming work.
• Mentor field leadership, reinforce training, and maintain strong team communication.

Qualifications

• 20+ years of field experience in hydroelectric, mechanical, or heavy industrial construction.
• Proven experience managing multi-discipline crews and large-scale field operations.
• Thorough understanding of turbines, valves, gates, and other hydromechanical systems.
• Strong background in rigging, alignment, and equipment installation.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Proficient in reading drawings, interpreting specifications, and producing field reports.
• OSHA 30 or equivalent safety training required.
• Ability to travel to multiple project sites throughout California.

Preferred

• Experience with DSOD, FERC, and client documentation requirements.
• Background working under PG&E, G.E., Voith, etc.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Project, Bluebeam, and Excel.
