Overview
TCB Industrial is offering apprenticeship opportunities for motivated individuals interested in building a long-term career in mechanical construction. Apprentices work under the supervision of experienced millwrights, pipefitters, and welders to learn the skills required to assemble, install, and maintain turbines, gates, valves, and other heavy mechanical systems used in power generation and industrial facilities.

This program provides real-world training in both shop and field environments, preparing apprentices for advancement into journey-level positions within TCB’s Mechanical Division.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist journeyman millwrights and pipefitters with mechanical assembly, installation, and maintenance.
  • Learn safe use of hand tools, power tools, and precision instruments.
  • Support rigging, welding, and pipefitting operations as directed.
  • Participate in equipment setup, material handling, and site cleanup.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and complete required training modules.
  • Attend classroom or online instruction as part of your apprenticeship requirements.
  • Maintain tools, PPE, and work areas in clean, safe condition.
  • Demonstrate initiative, reliability, and attention to detail in daily tasks.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Mechanical aptitude and desire to learn skilled trades.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in industrial or outdoor environments.
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to project sites statewide.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screening and safety orientation.
  • Enrollment or interest in a certified apprenticeship program (Millwright or Pipefitter).

Preferred

  • Previous exposure to construction, maintenance, or mechanical work.
  • Completion of OSHA 10 or similar entry-level safety training.
