Overview
TCB Industrial is offering apprenticeship opportunities for motivated individuals interested in developing a long-term career in civil construction. Apprentices will work under the supervision of experienced carpenters, cement masons, and equipment operators to learn foundational skills in grading, concrete, and structural sitework. This program provides hands-on field experience and formal training designed to prepare participants for advancement into journey-level roles within TCB’s Civil Division.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist skilled trades in performing excavation, formwork, rebar placement, and concrete operations.
• Learn safe operation of hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment.
• Support layout, grade checking, and material handling activities.
• Participate in setup and cleanup of work areas and maintain jobsite organization.
• Follow all safety procedures and attend daily tailboard meetings.
• Complete assigned training modules and on-the-job learning objectives.
• Demonstrate reliability, teamwork, and a strong work ethic.
• Support multiple crews as directed by the Foreman or Superintendent.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong work ethic and interest in learning civil construction trades.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Reliable transportation to travel to project sites throughout California.
• Must pass pre-employment screening and safety orientation.

Preferred

• Previous exposure to construction, concrete, or equipment operation.
• Completion of OSHA 10 training or willingness to obtain.
• Enrollment in a certified apprenticeship or vocational training program a plus.
