Overview
TCB Industrial is seeking experienced Carpenters to support formwork and structural concrete operations on civil construction projects throughout California. Carpenters at TCB are responsible for building, setting, and stripping form systems, ensuring all work meets engineering tolerances and safety standards. This position offers long-term, steady work on concrete, foundation, and infrastructure projects across the state.

Key Responsibilities

• Construct, install, and dismantle formwork for foundations, walls, columns, and slabs.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and layout plans.
• Measure, cut, and assemble lumber and form panels to specified dimensions.
• Place, align, and secure formwork using appropriate hardware and fasteners.
• Assist in layout and verification of grades and elevations.
• Work with rebar, anchors, and embedded items to ensure proper positioning.
• Strip and clean forms after concrete placement for reuse.
• Operate power tools, saws, drills, and hand tools safely and effectively.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and participate in daily safety meetings.
• Support other trades as needed to ensure efficient project progress.

Qualifications

• 3–10 years of experience in concrete form carpentry or heavy civil construction.
• Ability to read construction drawings and layout formwork accurately.
• Skilled in using hand and power tools associated with carpentry.
• Knowledge of concrete forming systems such as Symons, Peri, or EFCO preferred.
• Strong understanding of construction safety and safe lifting techniques.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in varying conditions.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to project sites statewide.

Preferred

• Experience with structural or mass concrete work.
• OSHA 10 or 30 certification.
• Familiarity with survey and layout equipment.
