Overview
TCB Industrial is seeking experienced Cement Masons to perform high-quality concrete placement and finishing on civil construction projects throughout California. Cement Masons at TCB are responsible for finishing concrete surfaces to specified textures and tolerances, ensuring durability, appearance, and structural performance. This role requires attention to detail, craftsmanship, and adherence to safety and quality standards on every pour.

Key Responsibilities

• Place, spread, and finish concrete for slabs, walls, foundations, and structural surfaces.
• Operate trowels, screeds, and finishing tools to achieve specified surface finishes.
• Perform surface repair, patching, and grinding as required.
• Set and align screed rails, forms, and grade pins prior to placement.
• Apply curing compounds, sealers, and surface hardeners according to specifications.
• Read and interpret drawings and mix design requirements.
• Work closely with carpenters, laborers, and foremen during placement operations.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of tools and work areas.
• Participate in daily safety meetings and follow all TCB safety procedures.
• Assist in training apprentices and laborers on finishing techniques and safety practices.

Qualifications

• 3–10 years of experience as a Cement Mason or Concrete Finisher.
• Skilled in hand finishing, machine finishing, and concrete repair techniques.
• Ability to read blueprints, elevation drawings, and grade stakes.
• Knowledge of concrete curing, finishing timing, and surface protection.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in outdoor environments.
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel to project sites throughout California.

Preferred

• Experience with structural or architectural concrete work.
• OSHA 10 or 30 certification.
• Familiarity with ride-on trowels and large-scale finishing equipment.
