Overview
TCB Industrial is seeking an experienced Civil Superintendent to lead field operations for grading, concrete, and structural infrastructure projects throughout California. The Civil Superintendent will be responsible for daily site supervision, crew coordination, production tracking, and safety compliance. This role is critical to ensuring projects are executed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with TCB’s standards for quality and precision.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise field crews, foremen, and subcontractors on active job sites.
• Plan, coordinate, and schedule daily construction activities to meet project milestones.
• Enforce TCB’s safety, environmental, and quality control programs.
• Review drawings, specifications, and work plans to ensure compliance and constructability.
• Verify grades, layout, and formwork prior to placement of concrete or materials.
• Conduct daily tailboards, job hazard analyses, and progress meetings.
• Monitor manpower, equipment, and material usage to maintain productivity targets.
• Report daily progress, potential delays, and issues to the Construction Manager or Project Manager.
• Collaborate with engineering and project management on design clarifications and field solutions.
• Mentor foremen and crew leads to maintain a high-performing and safety-conscious workforce.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of civil construction experience with 5+ years in field supervision.
• Strong background in grading, structural concrete, and infrastructure projects.
• Proven leadership in managing multi-discipline field crews.
• Ability to read civil and structural drawings, specifications, and survey data.
• Familiarity with layout, formwork, rebar placement, and concrete finishing operations.
• OSHA 30 certification or equivalent required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Bluebeam, and daily reporting systems.
• Willingness to travel to project sites across California.

Preferred

• Experience with municipal, Caltrans, or water infrastructure work.
• Familiarity with DSOD or USBR construction requirements.
• Knowledge of heavy equipment operation and sequencing.
