Overview
TCB Industrial is seeking an experienced Construction General Manager to oversee company-wide construction operations, including our Mechanical/Hydro and Civil Divisions. The General Manager will provide executive-level leadership, ensuring that projects are delivered safely, profitably, and to TCB’s standards of excellence. This role requires a strategic thinker with deep operational experience in heavy industrial and civil construction, capable of managing teams, budgets, and growth across multiple disciplines.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction to Project Managers, Superintendents, and Construction Managers across all divisions.
• Oversee daily field operations, project execution, and manpower utilization.
• Ensure compliance with company safety, quality, and environmental programs.
• Collaborate with estimating and pre-construction teams to develop accurate budgets and work plans.
• Approve project schedules, resource plans, and cost forecasts.
• Drive accountability for productivity, profitability, and client satisfaction.
• Mentor and develop management staff to strengthen leadership across all projects.
• Support strategic planning, business development, and long-term operational goals.
• Manage client relationships, ensuring professional communication and repeat business.
• Evaluate performance metrics, manpower reports, and division P&L outcomes.
• Participate in executive leadership meetings to align project execution with company objectives.

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years of construction experience with 10+ years in senior management.
• Proven track record managing large-scale industrial or civil projects.
• Strong knowledge of hydroelectric, mechanical, and heavy civil construction methods.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
• Experience with cost forecasting, scheduling, and risk management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Bluebeam, and scheduling tools.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field required; MBA preferred.

Preferred

• Executive-level experience in a self-performing industrial or heavy civil contractor.
• Strong understanding of California public works, bonding, and compliance requirements.
• Demonstrated success scaling teams and improving operational efficiency.
