Overview
TCB Industrial is seeking a Construction Manager to oversee field operations for heavy civil and concrete construction projects across California. The Construction Manager will lead daily site coordination, manpower planning, and equipment deployment to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and within budget. This role requires extensive field experience in grading, concrete, and structural civil work along with strong leadership skills and technical understanding of construction means and methods.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day field operations on multiple civil construction projects.
• Coordinate manpower, equipment, and materials to meet production and schedule goals.
• Supervise Superintendents and Foremen to maintain consistent performance and safety compliance.
• Conduct site visits, safety audits, and progress reviews.
• Work closely with Project Managers to plan execution strategies and resolve field issues.
• Review and approve lift plans, rigging operations, and equipment setups.
• Track productivity, cost performance, and material usage.
• Enforce TCB’s quality control and environmental compliance requirements.
• Participate in pre-job planning and post-job review meetings.
• Train and mentor field leaders to build strong operational teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of civil construction field experience with 5+ years in supervision or management.
• Strong background in concrete, grading, and infrastructure construction.
• Proven ability to lead multi-discipline field crews safely and efficiently.
• Knowledge of heavy equipment operation, layout, and construction sequencing.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• OSHA 30 certification or equivalent required.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Bluebeam for reporting and documentation.
• Willingness to travel to project sites throughout California.

Preferred

• Experience with municipal, Caltrans, or utility infrastructure work.
• Familiarity with DSOD and USBR construction requirements.
• Field experience with large-scale formwork and concrete placement.
