Overview
TCB Industrial is seeking skilled Equipment Operators to support grading, excavation, and site development work on civil projects across California. Operators are responsible for safely and efficiently operating heavy equipment including excavators, loaders, dozers, graders, and rollers in support of structural and sitework operations. This position is key to maintaining production, safety, and precision in every phase of civil construction.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment for grading, excavation, backfill, and site preparation.
• Load, move, and distribute materials such as soil, rock, and aggregate.
• Perform daily inspections and maintenance checks on assigned equipment.
• Follow signals and instructions from foremen and grade checkers for precision work.
• Assist with setup, grade staking, and compaction testing as required.
• Maintain awareness of underground utilities and jobsite hazards.
• Complete equipment reports and notify supervision of mechanical issues.
• Work safely around other trades, vehicles, and personnel.
• Participate in daily safety meetings and follow TCB’s equipment operation procedures.

Qualifications

• 3–10 years of experience operating heavy construction equipment.
• Ability to operate multiple types of equipment (excavator, dozer, loader, grader, roller, crane).
• Understanding of finish grading, slope control, and compaction requirements.
• Knowledge of equipment safety, rigging, and trench protection procedures.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to work in outdoor environments and travel statewide.

Preferred

• Experience with civil, infrastructure, or dam projects.
• Equipment operator certifications or NCCER credentials.
• OSHA 10 or 30 certification.
• Basic mechanical aptitude for equipment maintenance.
