Overview
TCB Industrial is offering internship opportunities for students pursuing degrees in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related fields. Interns will gain hands-on experience supporting Project Managers, Engineers, and Superintendents on active heavy civil and concrete projects throughout California. This internship provides real-world exposure to estimating, scheduling, field coordination, and quality control within TCB’s Civil Division.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist Project Engineers and Managers with RFIs, submittals, and project documentation.
• Support estimating efforts with take-offs, material tracking, and cost data organization.
• Conduct site visits to gather field measurements, progress photos, and production reports.
• Assist with quality control, concrete testing coordination, and inspection documentation.
• Participate in safety meetings, pre-task planning, and daily site coordination.
• Help prepare as-built drawings and project closeout deliverables.
• Learn construction sequencing, logistics planning, and site safety fundamentals.
• Observe field operations to gain understanding of grading, formwork, and concrete placement.

Qualifications

• Current enrollment in a Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related degree program.
• Strong computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Bluebeam, AutoCAD preferred).
• Excellent attention to detail, organization, and communication.
• Ability to work in both office and field environments.
• Reliable transportation to project sites and the Modesto office.
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S.

Preferred

• Previous internship or experience in construction or infrastructure work.
• Interest in heavy civil, concrete, or water resource projects.
• OSHA 10 certification or willingness to obtain prior to field assignments.
