Overview
TCB Industrial is seeking a licensed Professional Engineer with proven experience in hydromechanical systems and powerhouse equipment. The Mechanical Engineer will lead design review, field engineering, and technical oversight for turbine, penstock, valve, and structural-mechanical rehabilitation projects across California.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support for rehabilitation and installation of turbines, wicket gates, valves, and associated hydromechanical systems.
• Review design drawings, calculations, and specifications for compliance with FERC, DSOD, and OEM standards.
• Develop lift plans, rigging calculations, and field engineering packages.
• Support estimating and proposal efforts with technical input and quantity development.
• Coordinate directly with clients, OEM engineers, and field supervisors to ensure safe, accurate execution.
• Prepare as-built documentation and engineering reports.
• Uphold TCB’s safety and quality control procedures on all field assignments.

Qualifications

• California Professional Engineer (Mechanical) license required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 7–15 years of experience in hydropower, water conveyance, or heavy industrial mechanical work.
• Demonstrated experience with turbines, valves, penstocks, or similar large-scale rotating equipment.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Bluebeam.
• Strong understanding of construction sequencing, rigging, and mechanical assembly.
• Ability to travel to job sites throughout California.
